Did you think life would feel different by now?

*This isn't what I want
*This isn't how I want to feel
*This isn't who I want to be
And you don't know what to do about it
You're unhappy with parts of who you are. You're frustrated because your body doesn't feel the way you want it to feel. You have habits you know aren't helping you. Maybe you're more negative than you want to be, you're lonely, you're tired, or you're just going through the motions.

And the frustrating part is—you want things to change.

But you've tried before.

You've started the diet. You've made the plan. You've promised yourself this time would be different. And when it didn't last, you started wondering if maybe this is just who you are.

So now you're tired of trying.

My Journey
When I turned 50 I was unhappy with who I was.

I was frustrated with my body. I was plagued with negative thoughts. I was annoyed that I had habits I'd been wanting to change for two decades.

But honestly, I was tired of trying.

I remember thinking, shouldn't I have my life together by now?
Turning 50 didn't magically change anything. In fact, it took me almost an entire year—11 months—to actually take that first step.

During those months, I started getting really honest about what I wanted my life to look and feel like. I wrote it down. I pictured it. And little by little, I started believing something different was possible for me.

So when I finally took that first step, it wasn't because I'd suddenly found more willpower.

The change had already started in my mind.

On May 1, 2020, I made myself one tiny promise: run for one minute. One minute became two, then three, and I kept adding a minute each day.

At first, I thought I wanted to become a runner. But, I realized I didn't actually love running. What I really wanted was to be active for the rest of my life. And there were so many ways I could do that.

I started walking more because I love it and it feels good to my body. Walking became something I actually wanted to do instead of something I thought I should do. And that's when I realized something much bigger was happening.

Walking was changing how I felt myself.

It gave me space to clear my head, pay attention to my thoughts, and start thinking differently. Every day I walked, I was keeping a promise to myself.

What's crazy is I originally started moving because I wanted to lose weight. Seven years later, I still haven't lost all the weight I thought I needed to lose to be happy.

But I'm happier than I've ever been.

Changing my life wasn't about doing more or finally fixing everything I didn't like about myself.

My thoughts changed first. Then my actions began to change. And every time I showed up, I gained more confidence because I was actually keeping a promise to myself.
So, why start a walking club?
Because you don't need another complicated plan.

You don't need to wait until you're more motivated,
have more willpower, or finally get your life together.
You just need somewhere to start.

Walking gives you that place. It's a chance to move your body, clear your mind,
think differently, and start keeping promises to yourself—one step at a time.

And you don't have to do it alone.
